arjen-268It’s almost impossible to be hungry in Istanbul.  Everywhere in any weather one can find street vendors selling corn, chestnuts, simits (sesame encrusted bread rings), and a variety of other tasty bits to keep you from gnawing on your fingers.

  1. I’ve always envied my dog. She is ready to go in a minute…nothing to gather, nothing to worry about. In Istanbul we can be like dogs…just walk out the door, and all we need will be there as we need it. Thirsty, there’s water…hungry…see above…cold, we walk by warm things to buy. So easy.
