Wandering around town last week it seemed that the in-thing was to have your photograph taken in a group!
On the outskirts of Istanbul is a wonderful factory where much of the Turkish copper and brass for sale throughout the world is produced. In spite of the low light it’s a fantastic place to wander with one’s camera capturing the workers – and, of course, one can always end the excursion with a little shopping…
The ferries of Istanbul are such a part of the city’s landscapes and provide a lot of photo fodder….
I have done sleeping dog posts before and will probably continue to do so as they are an Istanbul institution. I am constantly amazed at these dogs’ ability to zone out anywhere, even in the middle of a street.
I love the old Ottoman graveyards – the stateliness of the stones, the mystery of the old Ottoman script. Many of them are rather unkempt and have shifted through the years which makes them even more appealing to me.
